Yodwarat Tedkham
Yodwarat has over 29 years of experience as a qualified Thai lawyer.
He worked with Pramuanchai Law Office as an Associate between 1996-2006.
He then joined DLA Piper (Thailand) as a Senior Associate from 2006-2013. From 2014-2017, he was a Litigation Partner at ZICOlaw (Thailand). He served as a Senior Counsel at Kennedy (Thailand) from January 2018 – June 2019. He returned to DLA Piper (Thailand) as a Legal Director from July 2019 – February 2025. Currently, he is a Partner and Head of the Management Team at BB Counsel.
He specializes in litigation and dispute resolution with a focus on insurance claims, general civil disputes, and disputes related to international cargo transportation.
He also has extensive experience in advising on legal issues and handling cases in respect of international trade, international goods, carriage of goods by sea, air, land, and multimodal transport, ship collision and marine casualty insurance, general civil and commercial laws, labor disputes, and arbitration.
- In 2023, he coordinated with the Properties Insurance Committee of Thai General Insurance Association (TGIA) to revise the wording of endorsements related to IAR and BI Policies, which will be applicable in the Thai insurance market.
- In 2024, he attended the training related to Thailand Insurance Leadership Program (“Program”) (Class # 12), organized by the Advanced Insurance Institute of the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC). The Program is for insurance executives, government officials, and other corporations in the insurance industry. All qualified delegates are in top positions in their respective organizations, including C-suite individuals.
- Currently, he has been appointed as an advisor to the Manager of the Non-Life Insurance Fund of Thailand, in charge of providing legal advice and finding ways to support the operations of the Non-Life Insurance Fund.
